8:30 PM Concert featuring Delirium Musicum performing with the Violins of Hope
Violins Of Hope is a collection of violins played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust. Each violin has its own unique and inspiring story that educates both young and old about the Holocaust in a deeply personal and emotional way. The instruments have been featured in film and TV, and have been played in concert halls and exhibited in museums throughout the world.
The Wallis is honored to present L.A.-based Delirium Musicum, who will perform on several of the instruments as part of the Violins of Hope Los Angeles tour in 2020. Delirium Musicum will perform pieces by S. Barber, J. Williams, F. Mendelssohn, and more, to give life to the instruments, and in an hommage to the story of the people who played them.
The concert will be proceeded by a FREE film screening of the documentary Violins of Hope: Strings of the Holocaust.
*Tickets for the free documentary screening are limited and priority will be given to patrons who purchase tickets to the Delirium Musicum concert. To request only a ticket to the free screening please RSVP. Confirmations may take up to 48 hours.
